To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You were mega-hits on Netflix in the past few years (based on the popular YA book trilogy by Jenny Han, first released in 2014), and now, Lara Jean and Peter are back in To All The Boys: Always and Forever, which drops on the streaming platform on February 12th, just in time for Valentine’s Day (one of many drops to come this year). The final part of the rom-com trilogy sees changes a-coming for the unlikely love-duo, and from the new trailer that just dropped, it looks like Peter is also dropping . . . down on one knee.
High school graduation is looming while Lara Jean (Lana Condor) travels to Seoul, Korea and New York. Long distance doesn’t seem to suit her and Peter (Noah Centineo), so they decide to go to the same university (Stanford) to avoid the perils of a long distance relationship. Trouble is – Lara Jean doesn’t get in.
The trailer flexes a few hints at what we can expect in the much anticipated final chapter – moving forward into adulthood, choosing growth over familiarity, a deep love of family, and of course, coming of age as a woman and embracing the new freedoms.
In one cute clip set to the iconic '90s banger hit, “I Love You Always Forever” by Donna Lewis, Peter says, “You know what I’m looking forward to the most about college? Never having to say goodnight.”
Sexual tension, let me introduce you to knife. Dannnnnng.
And raise your hand if you screamed when you saw Peter get down on one knee. *Raises all the hands* Sure he’s just asking her to go to prom with him, but still. It’s a promposal! Even star Lana Condor herself is not ready for all the emotions, because she tweeted as much when the trailer dropped Wednesday morning
She’s definitely not the only one who just Can. Not. Deal.
It’s clearly no coincidence that To All The Boys: Always and Forever is dropping just in time for Valentine’s Day. Make sure you watch with a box of Kleenex handy!
