Considering the amount of Royal news constantly in the headlines these days, The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dressmaker and the Wardrobe is a very timely read! The book was written by Angela Kelly, the queen’s dresser, who was given permission by the queen herself to write a tell-all book about royal fashion.Very few people know what it’s really like behind the doors of Buckingham Palace...until now. We get a good look in and read all about what it’s like to work with the world’s most famous woman in this fully authorized book by the Queen. While there isn’t really the juicy, insider stories that we crave, The Other Side of the Coin does reveal things we never knew before, and, obviously, takes a deep look into her extravagant wardrobe. Here’s a fun fact for you: this is actually the first time one of the Queen’s employees has written a book about her and kept their job!In our latest book club gathering, our hosts each rated the book out of five and, without giving anything away, they had some mixed reactions!
