Why should we be guilty of wanting some time for ourselves to do what makes us happy? Taking time to do things you find pleasure in can be beneficial to your happiness and even your self-esteem. We all deserve to have a little time for ourselves. If you can’t remember the last time you did something purely for pleasure, you’re not alone. A lot of us need to move pleasure-seeking way up to the top of our agendas, and we know just the book to guide us along the way. Whether it’s on your plates, in your bedrooms, in your offices, or in your relationships, Find Your Pleasure is like a road map to happy living…and it’s written by our very own pleasure-pusher and now published author, Cynthia Loyst! The pages of Find Your Pleasure are full of Cynthia’s personal stories, and looks at how to find pleasure in all aspects of our lives—not just romantically. Cynthia also writes about how to take the guilt out of pleasure-seeking and why the pursuit of pleasure can be so challenging, especially for women. If you want to find pleasure but don’t know where to start, well, Cynthia has you covered there too! Check out some of her tips below and watch the video clip above for more!

AWARENESS

What brings you pleasure is not necessarily what brings someone else pleasure. So take a moment to ask yourself: what would you do if you had an unscheduled day? If money were no object? Those types of questions are just a start to get you thinking about passion and pleasure.

ATTENTION

We spend lots of time with our faces buried in our phones, not to mention mundane activities that we mentally detach from, so attention is about tuning into our bodies as well as our imaginations.

AUTHENTICITY

We need to be honest with ourselves about who we are, and why we are drawn to and seeking out certain pleasures. Some pleasures do become compulsions (like smoking, for example).

HELP

Everyone struggles at times with feeling overworked and overwhelmed. Those are the times when we need to ask for help. Carving out time for ourselves, even if it’s only a few minutes a day, creates pathways to pleasure. You can unlock all these tips and so much more in Find Your Pleasure, which is available now.[video_embed id='1864391']Nicholas Braun has some big ideas for where 'Succession' can go next[/video_embed]
