Look, we get it. Being apart from the person you love, even for a few minutes, can feel like an eternity. And when you’re soulmates, you do everything together – dine, play, sleep, even bathe together. So when singer Meghan Trainor revealed earlier this week that her and her husband Daryl Sabara use the bathroom together, it obviously made all the sense in the world. Right? RIGHT?

Okay, maybe it’s a bit gauche, but Meghan is here to tell you that soulmates do their number twos side by side, and that’s all there is to it.

“To clear things up,” she tweeted, “we pooped ONCE together and we laughed and said never again…but he will hang out with me if I'm 💩ing cuz WE SOULMATES.”

“And I legit miss him when I'm away from him. And we pee together obvi."

Obvi. But where do they stand on sharing toilet paper? Charmin or Cottonelle? The people need to know.

This whole debacle began when the “All About That Bass” crooner admitted on Nicole Byer's Why Won't You Date Me? Podcast that their recent home renovation included the addition of side-by-side loos.

“We just got a new house and we did construction — nobody knows this — but in our bathroom, there was one toilet," she said. "A lot of times in the middle of the night when we're with the baby, we gotta pee at the same time. So I was like, 'Can we please have two toilets next to each other?'"

Her brother Ryan, who also appeared on the podcast episode, quipped, “You guys are weirdos, bro. They poop together! She's pooping and Daryl's like, 'I'm going to go hang out with you now!'"

Earlier this year, Meghan revealed the scary details behind the birth of their son Riley – he was a breech birth where the head of the baby doesn’t turn downward toward the birthing canal and had to be delivered by C-section --  so of course we can imagine that after devoting so much care to their bundle of joy, when nature calls, there better be appropriate facilities.

Okay, is it just us, or has this entire saga played out exactly like this 1991 Saturday Night Live skit, “The Love Toilet?”

*Does the math* Yup, this is exactly like the SNL skit.
