In the piece, Zoë retraces her early child- and teen-hood as a daughter of celebrity, dishing on just how she was feeling about the potential of Nicole Kidman joining the fam as her new mama. Answer: not great."I was a grumpy teenager with her," she said of her eventual Big Little Lies co-star. Fair enough. In response to that, Kidman told the mag that she feels like a big sister to Kravitz now and revealed that the younger actress "always smells so good"—which we assumed. When the subject of her recent marriage to Karl Glusman comes up, Kravitz is practical about how her career and travel can impact a relationship. “I’m used to my family living in different cities, yet we stay close while all doing our own things,” she shares. “Karl has his own career and needs to focus on that, but we’ve been together for a few years now, and we know where we are.She adds: "The best part of being married is being able to have the odd fight and knowing neither of us is going to walk out the door. The commitment feels safe.”The star is equally candid when discussing her battle with bulimia, which peaked when she was a teenager. Mentioning the early days of her struggle with body image, the actress explained, “ I didn’t feel like I fit in anywhere, and I was surrounded by an enormous amount of beauty and posturing. I was a chunky, perfectly normal-looking 15-year-old, but I had this remarkably beautiful skinny mother and a father who was dating a supermodel, and I felt short and ungainly.”Kravitz shared that she hid her bulimia for some time before her parents realized what was going on and got her into therapy. The actress went on to fight bulimia for the next decade, calling herself “okay” now while acknowledging the lifelong impacts an eating disorder has. “I am very vigilant. It’s a disease, and I never let myself forget that.”[video_embed id= '5793874393001']RELATED: Meryl Streep and the Big Little Lies cast share girls night out[/video_embed]Most of the interview takes place over breakfast in the Rose Bakery cafe inside of London’s trendy Dover Street Market, prompting Zoe to enthusiastically discuss her love of fashion, calling it “an addiction.” The gorgeous star likes to experiment with fashion for her own pleasure but there’s no lack of business in the mix: she also serves as a brand ambassador for the luxury handbag line Saint Laurent and a global ambassador for their makeup line, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty.Kravitz is in London filming her latest role—Catwoman in the next Batman movie—but will next be seen starring in High Fidelity, a ten part series offering a fresh gender-bent spin on the 1995 Nick Horny book and 2000 John Cusack film of the same name (interestingly, lookalike mom Lisa Bonet had a small role in the latter).
