The ongoing global pandemic has been a weird time for relationships. While some couples have been pushed to their breaking point in quarantine, others have found that the stillness provides a chance for them to get to better know their partner. That’s the case for new couple Tiffany Haddish and Common, who began dating at the onset of COVID-19 and are going strong. In a revealing new interview with comedian Steve-O, Haddish confirms The Kitchen co-stars are in love, giving us all the feels at a time when good news is at a minimum. Yay love!Catching up on Haddish’s current status, the Girls Trip actor gave a timeline of her relationship with Common, whom she met in 2018 when he played her love interest in the gritty drama. The pair remained friends after filming, but things were platonic until this year. Haddish said she was approached by the dating app Bumble to be a spokesperson and asked Common if he wanted to join her. So yeah, dating apps really do work."I am in a relationship," confirmed Haddish. “We’re twins now,” joked the comedian, who recently shaved her head. Haddish said that Common was supportive of her new haircut, which the comedian documented on Instagram. “I've been talking about cutting my hair for years. He said it was beautiful. He's like, ‘Wow, you did it man. You've got a lot of courage. You look so beautiful. I love it.' And I'm like, ‘Ahh, put your head on my head,’" said Haddish.Haddish said she and Common were quarantining separately and then ‘got tested for everything.’ They’ve since been isolating together and were recently spotted attending a Black Lives Matter march together in Los Angeles.Haddish said this is her first time dating a celebrity and praised her supportive and loving new boyfriend. "This is hands down the best relationship I’ve ever been in,” said Haddish. "I’ve lost 20 pounds since I’ve been in this relationship. I feel more confident in me and it’s not him that’s doing it," she continued. "I’m just way happier and it’s, like, knowing that I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does anyways, and I love it. I love him."

Calling the ‘She Ready’ comedian his best guest ever, Steve-O interviewed Haddish on his Wild Ride podcast and talked about everything from her experience in the foster care system to her newfound fame as a movie star. Haddish talked about the drama teacher that taught her to read at 15 after no other adult had taken the time to give the teenager the attention and support she deserved.Becoming emotional several times throughout the captivating interview, Haddish remembered being  given a choice by a social worker when she was a teen; become a patient in a psychiatric institution or attend a comedy camp at the Laugh Factory. It was at the camp where Haddish met comedy legends like the Wayans brothers, Arsenio Hall and Richard Pryor. “They were coming in and filling me up with confidence. I learned confidence there, I learned communication skills, when to be funny, when not to be funny, how to write a joke. And I never had any men in life at that point, so for a man to be like, you’re funny and you’re really beautiful…,” said Haddish. “It was the first time I felt like men actually cared about me and were not trying to molest me.”
After years of working as a struggling standup, Haddish’s major break came in 2015 with the film Keanu. Since then, she’s released a series of hit movies, sold out venues for her comedy tour, became a bestselling author and became friends with Beyoncé. “Her mom is probably like my bestie,” said Haddish, referring to Bey’s mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson. “Me and her mom talk all the time.”[video_embed id='2004207']RELATED: Tiffany Haddish tearfully reveals why she's afraid to have children[/video_embed]
