A few weeks ago, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson surprised everyone by announcing he had married his longtime love, Lauren Hashian. It happened in Hawaii and based on the first two photos he shared on Instagram, it looked to be an intimate affair. On Tuesday, The Rock revealed just how private the ceremony was.In a series of IG posts, the actor shared more stunning shots from their big day and explained how it all went down. He was his "own best man and groomsmen," explaining that he "needed to go solo" and his "groomsmen and best man were the spirits of [his] loved ones and ancestors who are no longer with us." Their wedding was an early one, and he walked down the aisle at 7:45 a.m., which allowed him to fill up on pancakes and sausage before their breakfast wedding reception. But it was the shots of Dwayne and Lauren's adorable daughter, Jasmine, and her role as flower girl, that will have you swooning. Johnson joked that rather than "gently lay the flowers," the three-year-old threw the flowers down "with ruthless aggression"—complete with a "wicked smile" on her face.Johnson also revealed that the little girl had an accident walking down the aisle and "took a spill" that resulted in all the petals falling out of the basket. But rather than cry, she didn't hesitate and picked the all up and kept going. "This moment was a cool & critical (and beautiful) microcosm for a much bigger thing in her life—you will stumble and fall," he wrote. "We all do. But be accountable, get back up, dust yourself off, laugh and keep on going down the road. Proud of my lil’ girl's instincts." Awww.
On Sunday, Johnson shared more wedding pics, including a look at their breakfast reception and the colourful outfits their guests wore. And for a food lover such as The Rock, he also shared the menu which included everything from pastries, artisanal breads, fruit, charcuterie, fritattas, grilled cheese toast, steak sliders, applewood smoked bacon and personal stacks of pancakes. Obviously. And their three-tiered wedding cake adorned with white flowers was simple and pretty.Aside from the couple's goal of complete privacy, which they achieved, The Rock took to another post to thank their family for giving him and Lauren their "full hearts, love and support."
Dwayne and Lauren first met in 2006 while he was filming The Game Plan and began dating the following year. Jasmine was born in 2015 and in April 2018, they welcomed another baby girl, Tiana. Johnson also shares daughter Simone from his previous relationship with his ex-wife Dany Garcia, who is the co-founder of their production company Seven Bucks Productions.Congrats to Dwayne and Lauren. Pōmaikaʻi (blessed), indeed.
