It’s a Full Quarantine world and we’re just living in it. Anyone who needed a laugh this week and who also happened to be a fan of that TGIF gem knowns as Full House was probably living for the moment when the OG cast, led by Candace Cameron Bure, updated the show’s iconic opening to a more suitable physical-distancing version. The new open has everything, from the song “Everywhere You Look” and a John Stamos camera stare, to the addition of one Kimmy Gibbler and even the show’s creator Jeff Franklin.Naturally everyone shot their scenes for the new open from their house, where they’re self-distancing during the coronavirus pandemic. Bob Saget is cleaning his cleaning supplies, Bure is having a grand old time with her family’s toilet, Jodie Sweetin is comfy in bed, Dave Coulier is fishing for pizza, and Andrea Barber does a bit with an egg carton and an egg-cellent outfit. It’s actually all very on-brand for the actors’ characters, which makes the video pretty perfect. “#FullQuarantine. Stay Home. Stay Safe. Unlike #FullHouse, this will go away,” Bure wrote on Instagram alongside the video.
Of course not everyone was involved in the creation of the new open. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who were the only original cast members to refuse participation in the new Netflix revival, are nowhere near the video. Also missing is Lori Loughlin, who reprised her role as Aunt Becky in Fuller House but was let go from the series after the college admissions scandal broke. At the time her co-stars seemed to stick up for her, but having her in the video would have probably just been a bad look for Loughlin considering she’s still tied up in court.Still, the video is probably the ticket fans everywhere needed while waiting for the back half of the final season of Fuller House to drop. Meanwhile the parody is just one of many examples of stars that are turning on their own creative juices while self-isolating. Miley Cyrus, John Krasinski and Matthew McConaughey have all started their own social media series while in lockdown mode, there have been a slew of musical stars putting on performances from the comfort of their own homes, and a select group of celebrities have been popping up on online classes to add a little flair to students’ curriculums everywhere. It makes sense that celebs who work together would want to quarantine together too. From afar of course. And after working together for the past three decades it’s probably safe to say that the Full House cast will continue to get together to do stuff like this whenever they have the chance. “We’ve had these friendships for more than 30 years and it’s just sad to leave them,” Bure said late last year when she announced the revival was ending. “Have tears with us and hug along with us, because that’s kind of what we need, is the comfort and the love.”Hear, hear.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Working from home is tough with a cat this feisty[/video_embed]
