The cast of Grey’s Anatomy ditched their scrubs to film a video thanking the heroes they play on TV. Cast members James Pickens Jr., Chandra Wilson, Debbie Allen, Kim Raver, Giacomo Gianniotti, Jake Borelli and Alex Blue Davis filmed their portions in their homes, where they are under quarantine, thanking doctors on National Doctors' Day and urging people to do everything they can to help doctors and medical personnel fighting the global COVID-19 pandemic. Of course, by "everything they can," that essentially means staying home if possible, reiterating a common plea heard from government to celebs. The emotional video gives the actors the chance to honour all the medical personnel who are risking their lives every day to treat those suffering from coronavirus, which has already claimed the lives of thousands around the world. In the heartfelt video, the cast also announced that Barco Uniforms, the same company that makes the scrubs worn by the cast, are pledging to donate 10,000 uniforms per month to medical personnel in need until the pandemic is over.
Grey’s Anatomy cast members Alex Landi, Kevin McKidd and Stefania Spampinato also shared their own videos thanking doctors. Spampinato spoke in Italian to address her home country, which has been devastated by COVID-19. All four clips have been posted on the official Shondaland TV Instagram page, which is also sharing information on how viewers can share Barco Uniform’s donation criteria with medical professionals.[video_embed id='1736881']RELATED: Grey's Anatomy Giacomo Gianniotti has the ultimate Hollywood success story[/video_embed]Grey’s Anatomy is one of the TV shows that has donated their supplies to hospitals and first responders in need.
