It’s unclear whether Swift’s crafting skills have been newly acquired during quarantine or were pre-existing, but one thing we do know is that if this whole international popstar thing doesn’t work out, she can definitely open up an Etsy store.Of course, Swift’s 2020 hasn’t just been about making handmade baby gifts. She’s also released her latest baby in the form of her seventh album, Folklore. Swift surprised fans on July 24 with the release of the new album, which included a feature from Bon Iver and the song “Betty,” which revealed the name of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s third daughter.Swift’s latest album also includes the song “The Last Great American Dynasty,” which tells the story of socialite Rebekah Harkness. Swift owns Harkness’ Rhode Island home, which was the location of the popstar’s famous Fourth of July parties. On September 11, a fan tweeted that Reynolds, Lively and Swift’s friend Jesse Tyler Ferguson should be cast in a film made about Harkness’ life. Ferguson was the first to sign on, with Reynolds not far behind.
Swift quickly co-signed on the idea, as did Lively, who has helped Reynolds get into character by referencing a rumour that Harkness dyed either a cat or dog lime green. Seriously, this really should be a movie. But Bill’s heart... ?
