To be honest, we didn’t need another reason to love Shawn Mendes. His boyish good looks and Canadian charm (oh, and his obvious musical talent) have long since earned him global approval — but now? He just took things a step further. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the singer announced Tuesday, that he has made a $175,000 donation through his personal foundation to the SickKids Foundation. The generous donation will assist in purchasing equipment and supplies for coronavirus preparedness at SickKids, one of the world's leading pediatric care centres, located in Mendes' hometown of Toronto, Ontario. Shawn also noted in his statement that for the next month, all donations to the foundation will go towards additional COVID-19 efforts made by SickKids, as well as those made internationally by the World Health Organization COVID-19 Response Fund. Now, you might be wondering — ultimate good deeds aside, what has Mendes been up to? Well, like all of us should be, he’s mostly isolating… except, he's got his girlfriend Camila Cabello by his side. This would be totally relatable if we were also famous and not quarantined with a bottle of cheap wine and a pet cat in a 400 square foot apartment, but that’s besides the point. In their typical loved-up fashion, the pair flaunted some PDA Monday morning, as a shirtless Shawn planted a kiss on his lady during a recent stroll around her family's neighbourhood, which was captured by paparazzi (who were totally practicing social distancing, we hope). And joint-isolation isn't ending anything soon, as Camila announced late Tuesday night that her 2020 world tour which was supposed to kick off May 26 in Europe, has been postponed. The My Oh My singer said she's 'heartbroken' about the situation but explains, "We can't start rehearsals without putting people at risk and with so much up in the air with no real definitive end in sight, I feel this is the responsible thing to do."

As the stars spend more time at home that means — more TikTok dancing — and more interacting with fans online. Tuesday, Shawn took to twitter (with some enviable Miami beach-bum hair) and joined other Canadian celebrities who are using their platform to urge citizens to stay inside and #PlanktheCurve. In the video he explains, “The quicker everybody realizes how serious this is, the quicker we can go back to our normal lives.” Yes, Shawn! Say it again for the people in the back. Oh, and if you're interested in those shirtless Shawn pics, they're right here.
