Anyone with a child understands the sheer importance of a morning routine… and the utter exhaustion that it typically causes. Getting yourself and your kids out the door by a certain time is a journey, one that’s worth celebrating when done successfully (usually with an extra-large coffee). Serena Williams reminded us all of that with a new Instagram video she posted with her daughter Olympia, in which she unsuccessfully tries to share her morning routine with fans.In the March 9 video the tennis pro wasn’t rushed or trying to get somewhere, she was simply trying to put on an undereye mask while her two-year-old daughter, Olympia, “helped.” But as soon as the camera begins rolling, things don’t go as planned. “Are you okay?” Williams asks as Olympia bounces excitedly around singing. Then, as she attempts to carry on with the “routine,” Olympia goes on to have a beauty blender party and wraps it all by spraying some unidentified product. Eventually, Williams gives up with a resigned, “Olympia…,” cuing understanding from frazzled parents everywhere.“@OlympiaOhanian is still too young for eye masks but she sure can work that beauty blender!” Williams captioned the video.

Given the way Williams has spoken about Olympia’s love of beauty products and fashion in the past, it’s no surprise that the tot wanted to try and film a video in front of her mom’s vanity. From the sounds of things that’s the exact kind of activity that she’s totally into these days, and her mom is more than okay with encouraging it. After all, this is the same babe who also made her runway debut this year at the S by Serena collection show at New York Fashion Week.“I can't force her out of a princess dress,” Williams told E! News recently. “She gets so upset. She loves fashion, she loves wearing dresses and that's what she wants to do.”Williams and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their first child in September 2017, amid some scary birthing complications that left Williams fighting for her life for six days. Since then the baby girl has definitely grown up in the spotlight. Williams hasn’t been shy about asking the internet for help with common problems like teething, while Olympia even has her own Instagram account that the couple started the month she was born. (Her doll, Qai Qai, also has her own Instagram account, because clearly this family loves the ‘Gram.)[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Serena Williams talks about her scary birth[/video_embed]“She’s obviously going to have a very special life,” Ohanian told Vogue in 2018. “But there are enough cautionary tales about kids who grow up in the spotlight. How do you make your kid live in reality when your own reality is so . . . unreal? This kid is going to have more Instagram followers than me in about three weeks.”Well, not quite. She’s still about 11,000 shy of his 615,000 followers. But the entire internet can probably agree that she’s cuter. Especially with that beauty blender.[video_embed id='-1']Before you go: Golden Retriever refuses to share his tennis balls[/video_embed]
