Scout Willis explains why dad Bruce Willis is quarantining away from his wife and kids

Physical distance has been difficult on everyone, especially families with divorced parents. Being unable to isolate with both parents puts all the burden on one adult while forcing the other parent to go weeks or months without seeing their children. Thankfully, exes Demi Moore and Bruce Willis have quarantined together, giving their three adult children the chance to spend time with both mom and dad.But their arrangement raised eyebrows earlier this month when it was revealed that Willis’ wife Emma Hemming Willis and the couple’s two young children were in a different state. Now Willis’ daughter Scout is explaining why her father is isolating without his wife and youngest daughters.Scout Willis appeared on The Dopey Podcast on Friday and spoke candidly about her issues with substance abuse and road to recovery. Scout has been using her social media to connect with others who are struggling with recovery during the pandemic and said that she and her immediate family have remained sober while in quarantine.The middle child of Demi and Bruce confirmed that she is in quarantine in Idaho with her parents, as well as her boyfriend Jake Miller, older sister Rumer, younger sister Tallulah and her boyfriend, Dillon Buss. Moore has been sharing pictures from the family’s time together in Idaho, but noticeably absent from the snaps are Willis’ wife Emma and the couple’s two children, including eight-year-old Mabel and five-year-old Evelyn.

"My stepmom was going to come up here too with my little sisters, but my younger sister was at a park. She had never gotten the talk about not f***ing with hypodermic needles that she found, so she actually tried to poke her shoe with it and poked her foot," said Scout, reminding us that we need to start having more talks with our kids about hypodermic needles.Emma took the couple’s young daughter to the doctor for tests and Bruce decided to travel to Moore’s family home in Idaho while his wife remained in Los Angeles with their children, awaiting the test results. "Travel got crazy and my stepmom stayed in L.A. with my little sisters,” said Scout. Huh.Earlier this month, Moore shared a picture of the family in matching pajamas from Levert and the coordinated snap received a sweet comment from Emma, who responded to Moore’s “Family bonding” caption by writing “At its finest ??? love and miss you guys.”

So, there you have it. Hemming Willis may be the most understanding and evolved parent in the history of quarantines. If she is fine with her husband spending all day in his pjs while she takes care of their two children alone and continues to run her business CocoBaba while enduring a global pandemic, then that’s great. We can’t relate, but we’re happy for her.
