Sounds like it’s been a pretty emotional week for
KUWTK star Scott Disick. On May 4, just as the world was learning that he had checked himself into a rehabilitation centre in Colorado, the personality swiftly checked himself back out because of the unwanted press. Naturally, the media attention was interfering with Disick trying to sort through some pretty big emotions, and a leaked photo from inside the facility sent him packing.According to
People, a source claims Disick entered the facility on April 28 after travelling to Colorado on a private jet, with the blessing of both Sofia Richie and Kourtney Kardashian. “In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father three months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas. He did not check in for any alcohol or cocaine abuse," Disick’s lawyer, Marty Singer,
said in a statement.Singer also confirmed that Disick left the resort-style centre after someone leaked a photo of him to the
Daily Mail. "Shockingly as a result of the HIPA violation of the facility and his violation of privacy, he has checked himself out and is immediately returning home," Singer added. "We are alarmed by this extreme invasion of privacy and plan to take immediate legal action."According to the
Daily Mail report, sources told them that while the 36-year-old was at the All Points North Lodge to help work through his feelings about his parents, he had also supposedly been drinking heavily and taking cocaine while in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Once he arrived at the centre he had to introduce himself to the other residents on Zoom while awaiting results from a coronavirus test, but he was cleared to join the other patients at the facility on May 1.“He said he's having trauma from his past, he mentioned trouble with his ex and said he's also having trouble with his children and he's been taking cocaine and drinking a lot,”
the source told the publication. “He looked pretty skinny and told the group he was coming to rehab to work on his issues and said he was having withdrawal symptoms and was tired and lethargic. He told staff he didn't want any special treatment during his stay, in terms of meals and therapy.”
Disick and Kardashian share three kids: Reign, 5, Mason, 10, and Penelope, 7. Prior to this news the exes had supposedly worked out a safe environment for the children during stay-at-home orders and self-isolation. “The kids are able to spend time with Scott too,” a source
told People previously, revealing that Disick and Richie were quarantining at his house. “They are not seeing any other people right now. Sofia is not even spending time with her family, including her dad [Lionel Richie]. The kids visit Scott as usual. Otherwise, the kids live with Kourtney.”Until he headed to Colorado, Disick had been fairly active on social media, posting photos from the beach or poolside, often with the kids. Like other celebrities, he’s also been advocating for people to stay home and wash their hands, posting pictures of
