Scott Disick and Sofia Richie call it quits

It looks like the rumours are true, and Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have called it quits on their relationship after three years of dating. Various sources confirmed the news after Disick recently celebrated his 37^th birthday with the rest of the Kardashian fam-jam and Richie was nowhere to be seen.According to previous reports the pair had taken a bit of a break following Scott’s very brief stint in rehab, which he left shortly after a photo of him from inside the facility leaked to press. The reality star was there to deal with “past traumas” and to do some self-healing—a journey he is continuing back home. Solo, it seems.

“There wasn’t a fight or anything bad that happened between them, [Sofia wants to] do her own thing [while Scott] takes care of his health,” an insider told E! News. “Sofia thinks Scott has a lot on his plate right now and thinks it's best for them to be apart so he can focus on himself. She is only looking out for him and his best interest and it was primarily her decision for them to split. Sofia has been spending time with her family and has taken the majority of her stuff out of Scott's house.”While some fans may see the breakup as Sofia not staying by Scott’s side, others are speculating that this is just a temporary situation. After all, the couple have broken up in the past but they always seem to find their way back to each other. That same source told the publication that it’s actually pretty “likely” that they’ll reconcile at some point down the road, adding, "They are technically 'split' but Sofia has been in touch with Scott." He was even making a better effort to get to know her father, singer and American Idol judge Lionel Richie. “Since Scott is a father himself, he recognizes the importance of a close bond with his children and would never want to harm the relationship between Lionel and Sofia, especially because Scott’s parents have both passed away,” Us Weekly reported at the time. “He values family above all else and will always look to build a bond with Sofia and her family, and would never want to detract from it.”Sofia and Scott first started dating in 2017 but didn’t make their relationship Instagram official until September of that year when they started posting photos together on their stories. “She’s 19,” Lionel said at the time. “When you’re 19 you know everything.
