Sacha Baron Cohen addresses that compromising Rudy Giuliani scene in 'Borat 2'

Borat has been in the cultural zeitgeist since 2006 when his first mockumentary film was released to much fanfare, so it's hard to believe that 14 years later, people are still granting interviews to Sacha Baron Cohen. Even more shocking is that the famed former Mayor of New York and Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani has been swept up in a Borat scandal.In Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, the sequel to the original juggernaut, Giuliani is caught in a compromising position with young Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova, who plays Borat’s 15-year-old daughter Tutar. Hidden cameras from all angles were rolling as Giuliani appears to put a hand down his pants in a hotel bedroom with Bakalova.Amid the ensuing chaos, Baron Cohen and Bakalova appeared out of character on Good Morning America Friday morning to address the scene that's causing such a stir. “If the president’s lawyer found what he did there appropriate behavior, then heaven knows what he’s done with other female journalists in hotel rooms," Cohen said, not holding back.“And listen, I just urge everyone to watch the movie,” he continued. “It is what it is. I was sure that you're gonna save me from everything.”Cohen then added that he had a duty on this film to ensure everyone’s safety, and admitted, “I was quite concerned for her during the scene.
