Did you hear that sound? It’s the entire world letting out a collective sigh of exasperation as they read the news about Roseanne Barr’s hot take on the coronavirus pandemic. From her privileged perch in Hawaii, Barr spoke with fellow comedian Norm Macdonald, claiming that there’s only one case of COVID-19 in the entire state. Which is… completely false. In actuality, there are 385 cases. Five people have died. Things just go downhill from there. Like other funny people just trying to keep us amused throughout this period of social distancing, Macdonald is doing a low-tech YouTube show from home, titled Quarantined With Norm Macdonald. In his most recent episode, he phoned up Roseanne, who we loved for her part in She-Devil and loathe for her part in tweeting racist garbage. After a short foray into the topic of the environment, Barr went off on a bit of a tangent, putting forth her theory that the novel coronavirus is a plot to get rid of her generation. “You know I’m crazy so I’m speaking as a crazy woman now,” she explained. “I think we’re being forced to evolve. You know what it is, Norm? I think they’re just trying to get rid of all my generation.”“The Boomer ladies that, you know, that inherited their, you know, are widows” she said. “They inherited the money, so they got to go wherever the money is and figure out a way to get it from people.” No, we don’t know what that means either. But Barr has an alternative theory, too (in case that one didn’t fly with you). Perhaps this is... the Rapture? Okay! After lamenting that it’s nearly impossible to find white rice or toilet paper in Hawaii right now, Barr offered up some advice, dietary and otherwise, for getting through these tough times (be it the Rapture or the coronavirus). Ladies: learn to make bean soup. Guys: don’t eat human babies. Lawyers: start carb-loading now because when this is all over Roseanne has big plans to sue.Watch the craziest video we’ve seen in months (and that’s saying something) below.
