Kristen Bell is continuing to keep it real and we love her for that. On the latest episode of her YouTube series #Momsplaining, Bell shared the ins and outs of potty training her two young daughters. Speaking with friends and fellow actors Maya Rudolph and Casey Wilson, Bell revealed that her youngest daughter is still in diapers at age five-and-a-half. FYI, that is completely fine. You do you, little one.Bell shares two daughters with her husband Dax Shepard. Speaking about the pair’s oldest daughter, 7-year-old Lincoln, Bell said that potty training was a breeze. "My oldest daughter, at 21 months, we merely suggested that she use the toilet in the other room and [she] never wore another diaper beyond that," said Bell. Acting as a great reminder that no two kids are the same, Bell said that potty training her younger daughter Delta has been a much longer process.
"Currently, my youngest is five-and-a-half, still in diapers," said Bell. "It's real relative, isn't it?" responded Rudolph, who shares four children with her partner, director Paul Thomas Anderson. "Yes, because every kid is so different,” agreed Bell.According to
BabyCenter.ca, there is no set age to start potty training and the older the child is when they start, the easier it tends to be to start transitioning from diapers to a toilet. Many parents have
commended Bell for being candid about potty training while others have
questioned whether it was appropriate to share such a personal detail about her young daughter.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Kristen Bell calls Jennifer Garner one of her 'guiding lights' [/video_embed]Kristen responded on Twitter to anyone who thought the admission was inappropriate, adding more details to the comments she made in the video. She explained that since the conversation was cut down, people are missing that Delta is actually only in diapers at night which is common for that age.
She followed the tweet up with
another in support of any kids who still wear diapers during the day at five or even older. Calling Delta "confident & goofy," she said that her kiddo wouldn't be embarrassed if people knew those diaper details about her because she "doesn't see anything about her beautiful unique self [as] something to apologize for."In addition to their daughters, Bell and Shepard are also the proud parents of the
affordable, organic, eco-friendly and super cute baby brand Hello Bello. The whole product line—including shampoo, bath soap, moisturizer, wipes and yes, diapers—are designed to be gentle on all skin types as well as parents’ budgets. Following the outbreak of COVID-19, Bell and Shephard have been
