Rebel Wilson makes her red carpet debut with Jacob Busch

2020 continues to be a challenging year for most, but for Rebel Wilson it’s proving to be kind of the best. Aside from declaring it a year of health, the Pitch Perfect star also has a hot new relationship to revel in, and now she’s ready to share her man with the rest of the world.Wilson went official with boyfriend Jacob Busch on Instagram and in real life on September 24 when they stepped out for their red carpet debut at the Monte-Carlo Gala for Planetary Health in Monaco. Earlier that day, Wilson had also shared a post of herself and Busch boarding a chopper for the festival with some of their celeb friends, like Helen Mirren and Kate Beckinsale.

Is there a fancier way to make your relationship official? Probably not. After all, following their helicopter ride they cleaned up nicely with a tux and a jaw-dropping, silvery gown. Wilson and her stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, also marked the fashionable occasion by sharing some snaps of Wilson in the gown (from the Rene Ruiz Collection by Luis Escudero, according to People) with the pretty Monaco landscape in the background.

The Prince Albert II of Monaco’s Gala for Planetary Health was an event aimed at raising money for environmental initiatives, including an emergency fund to help support recent global catastrophes. (To be fair, 2020 has been full of those, between wild fires, coronavirus and more.) Sting was honoured at the fourth annual soiree, which was MCd by Mirren, Beckinsale and Andy Garcia.Meanwhile, fans may recognize Wilson’s arm candy—or at least the name. Jacob Busch is of that Busch family, as in the beer moguls, AKA founds of the Anheuser-Busch brewing dynasty in Missouri. Busch, who is reportedly worth about $100 million US and belongs to the 16^th richest family in America with a fortune of $13.4 billion US, currently resides in L.A. He’s 29 years old (11 years younger than Wilson), and was notably not a part of the same Busch crew who recently helmed their own reality show on MTV.According to People, Wilson and Busch were introduced last year by a mutual friend and they’ve been maintaining a long-distance relationship since. They remained connected during quarantine as she lived in Australia and he remained in Los Angeles. The publication reports that they grew more serious after Wilson returned to California and the pair were able to pick things up in person."They are officially boyfriend and girlfriend," a source revealed. "He's a gentleman, has very old school manners and treats her well.
