Weddings everywhere are being postponed due to the current coronavirus pandemic, but Raven-Symoné wasn’t about to wait for a lavish ceremony to make her love for girlfriend Miranda Pearman-Maday official. Isn’t that so Raven of her?The couple got married in a surprise backyard ceremony recently, which Symoné announced to fans on Instagram on June 18. “I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home," the 34-year-old personality wrote alongside a photo of them both. “I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday! Let’s tear this world a new asshole!!! I’s married NOW.”
Symoné also gave fans a few more glimpses inside the sweet ceremony,
sharing a photo of the couple’s new matching tattoos on their ring fingers and later a video of the festivities. “The outpouring of love and congratulations have filled our hearts immensely,” she wrote. “Thank you to everyone!!!! I won’t bombard y’all with too many pix, but yeah more music soon! Hehe”
Pearman-Maday, a social media manager for a food app, also
shared a few select snaps on her own social media page. She included one where the former
Cheetah Girls star is kissing her on the forehead and another in which they’re posing with friends. It’s a pretty big display of affection for the couple, who have kept their relationship fairly private up until now.Symoné first opened up about her sexuality for a docu-series in 2016, telling
Lexus L/Studio “I never thought I would come out because my personal life didn’t matter.” The actress added, “It only mattered what could be sold as part of the Raven-Symoné brand.”Considering Symoné grew up with plenty of fans following her every move, that makes sense. She first came into viewers’ homes via
The Cosby Show when she was three years old, playing the role of Olivia Kendall. Since then she gained even more fans through her work on Disney’s
That’s So Raven and
The Cheetah Girls. In recent years she has also played Anthony Anderson’s sister on
black-ish, helmed her own series,
Raven’s Home, and appeared as a panellist on
The View. In 2019 Symoné also appeared on the second season of
The Masked Singer as the Black Widow. "I’ve been in the music industry and the industry for a really long time and I said, ‘Oh my goodness, it would be awesome if I don’t have to see anybody, they can’t see me, I can be the person I am in the mirror,’” she told host Nick Cannon after being eliminated, on why she did the show. “When you guys called me a professional singer, I peed my pants.”[video_embed id='1977733']Before you go: New book explores how different life would have been if Hillary Clinton didn’t marry Bill[/video_embed]
