Looks like there won't be a royal wedding this spring after all. Princess Beatrice has officially called off her May 29 nuptials with fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi due to COVID-19 concerns. The couple, who announced their engagement in September 2019, had already altered their wedding plans numerous times before the outright cancellation announced Thursday. With much of the world shut down in an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus, the royals have found themselves facing the reality that a large gathering of friends and family is just not possible right now. After reportedly playing with the idea of hosting a smaller, private ceremony without a reception, it seems that as of April 16, the wedding is off until further notice.[video_embed id='1940550']RELATED: Prince Harry opens up about family time during quarantine[/video_embed]"There are no plans to switch venues or hold a bigger wedding.
