Nickayla Rivera responds to reports she moved in with Naya’s ex Ryan Dorsey

Model Nickayla Rivera has seemingly responded to the reports that she is living with her sister’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey. However rather than flat out confirm the rumours, she’s asking for some compassion during this dark time in her family’s lives.The 25-year-old updated her Instagram stories on September 28 following reports that Dorsey and Naya’s five-year-old son, Josey, have moved in with her in a three-bedroom rental in California. “In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends & family,” she wrote. “Showing up for my nephew, even though I can’t show up for myself.”According to the Daily Mail, Nickayla and Josey have been spending a lot of time together following 33-year-old Naya’s death by drowning at Lake Piru in July. Moving in with Dorsey, 37, made sense as the pair continue to co-parent the child along with Dorsey’s parents.“I’m not concerned with the way things look because no one can see each agonizing moment we all endure,” Nickayla continued. “What matters most I’ve learned, is to show compassion, not to judge others, & never take a moment of life for granted. I hope you can all do the same.”

Naya and Dorsey were married from 2014-2018, during which time they had Josey. The couple had a lot of ups and downs during their relationship, but before Naya’s death they had managed to figure out a solid co-parenting schedule that put their son first. “Life just isn't fair. I don't know what to say...I'm thankful for our times and our journey that brought us together and gave us the sweetest and kindest smart little boy we could ever hope for,” Dorsey recently shared on Instagram in a tribute to his ex. So far he has not commented on moving in with Nickayla.The Glee star died on July 8 after accidentally drowning during a boat trip with her son. The pontoon boat had drifted away while she and Josey were swimming, and in her final moments she pushed her son back on the boat before running out of energy. Rivera’s body was found days later, and she was laid to rest in a private funeral on July 24.“I’ve never known a life without you in it & still can’t imagine it” Nickayla shared in her own tribute to her sister. “My world is turned upside down. But through it all, everything we were, we are still. I’ll always look at you with the same eyes as I did when I was young.
