If you needed further proof that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were meant to be, look no further than the new article she has up in Vogue about living her best self-isolation life. The 37-year-old actress opened up to the publication about all of the ways she and her husband are spending their time while social distancing—including learning some new skills like the piano—and why she counts herself as lucky even during a trying time like the coronavirus pandemic.“I’m so grateful we’re together at this time, and that we weren’t stuck in different parts of the world because we both travel so much,” she said of self-isolating with Jonas. “And I feel incredibly blessed to be dealing with boredom, and not a lack of food or water, or the loss of a loved one.” Chopra also revealed that because her parents are doctors, she was well aware of the dangers of COVID-19 in advance, and that she and Jonas were among those who chose to self-isolate early on since her husband is a Type 1 diabetic. Now they’re basically old pros at this quarantine business.

I’ve never played, but I’ve always wanted to learn an instrument, so I make him give me a half-hour or 45-minute lesson every day,” she added. “He’s an in-house piano teacher, an in-house physical trainer, and an in-house writing partner—it’s good.” Spoken like a true creative, right? It’s not all couple-like things for the isolation goals couple though. While Chopra hasn’t started baking bread or anything, she reveals she’s taken a hip-hop dance class because she misses dancing, and that she’s been working on her book a lot too. “This time is going to help me finish it,” she revealed. “This time is, fortunately and unfortunately, given me time to think about finishing that book.”Throughout it all, Chopra maintains that positivity is key. She’s been doing what she can to contribute, by making donations “where people need help” and by promoting people on the ground who are doing the real work. “The one thing keeping me calm is constantly reminding myself how lucky we are,” she says, revealing that she and Jonas have also been passing the time watching movies like Seven Psychopaths and Sing Street, and that she’s a huge fan of Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon’s Little Fires Everywhere. “Nick and I have used the quarantine not only to spend time with each other, but also to sharpen our creative skills and to write and develop projects we want to produce.”Above all though, Chopra thinks she’ll walk away with a new sense of self once things do eventually begin to return to normal. She’s learning to find her own inner Zen during what she may have previously considered to be a super trying time. After all, nothing puts things in perspective like a pandemic. “Being in this quarantine has made me realize that some of the stresses we put on ourselves in our normal lives may or may not be important,” she wrapped. “It’s good to take a breather, take stock of your life, and tell your loved ones you love them.”Maybe with a little piano ditty, perhaps? After all, she should put those newfound piano skills to good use somehow.[video_embed id='1943353']BEFORE YOU GO: This teacher's COVID-19 song made our hosts cry with laughter[/video_embed]
