As more people across the world practice physical distancing in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus, celebs and other famous types are finding more and more ways to entertain us online. The latest gem comes from none other than Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment, who staged their own mini Hannah Montana reunion from the comfort of their respective homes. The duo, who starred in the Disney series together for four seasons, came together on Cyrus’ Instagram Live talk show, Bright Minded: Live With Miley. The 27-year-old called Osment’s guest appearance “the reunion of the decade,” which, anyone who has ever seen Vanessa Bayer’s impression of Cyrus on SNL would probably agree is “pretty cool.”

During the segment, the pair talked about their friendship and they shared some “pretty embarrassing” photos that were taken while filming the show, joking about Osment’s vests and Cyrus’ peplum skirts and tutus. The real reason Cyrus wanted Osment on the show wasn’t revealed until a little later on though, when Cyrus explained how her former co-star is also an animal lover and together, she wanted them to encourage people to foster pets during the coronavirus outbreak.“It’s a really great time for those in situations that are able to provide. It’s a good time to adopt or foster—but it’s really important to talk about financial responsibility and the strain a pet can cause on a family during this financially challenging time,” she said, according to People. “The best way to draw attention to man’s best friend is to bring in the best friend duo that always encouraged people to do what’s best and do what’s right.”[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Samantha Bee, Trevor Noah shoot late shows from woodshed and couch, respectively[/video_embed]It's an issue many celebrities have been talking about over the last week, as people like Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski, Riverdale’s Camila Mendes and Friday Night Lights’ Kyle Chandler have all shared their own fostering stories online.
Meanwhile, Cyrus wrapped up the show by nodding to Osment’s latest creative pursuit, her band Bluebird. “I just wanted to say thank you so much. Your music is badass, thank you for what you do with animals, thanks for bringing up the idea to make sure we highlight animal care at this time, and you are the best.”Since Osment appeared on Hannah Montana, she's gone on to play a critically-acclaimed role on the Anna Faris sitcom Mom, and was also one of the leads in last fall’s series Almost Family. Cyrus has, of course, been a household name for years, but during the coronavirus pandemic, she’s been helping to spread some cheer with her Instagram talk show.[video_embed id='1926995']BEFORE YOU GO: Rita Wilson shows off rap skills in ‘quarantine stir crazy’ video[/video_embed]
