Meghan Markle quietly volunteered at a Toronto charity during her 'Suits' days

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan only joined Instagram as @SussexRoyal in April but over the last several months since starting their own account and splitting from the @KensintonRoyal account they shared with Prince William and Kate Middleton, they've made quite an impact, with family photos, travel pics and updates on the work they're doing.At the beginning of every month, the royal couple select a different theme or cause and highlight accounts that do good. On December 1, they chose new accounts to follow and, inspired by the Twelve Days of Christmas, they selected a dozen organizations who care for "those who may feel lonely, hungry, homeless, or may be experiencing the holidays for the first time without loved ones," the Sussexes wrote in the caption to the photo. "It's an important time of year to help those around you who may be less fortunate, or who would appreciate even the smallest act of kindness."One of the organizations that Harry and Meghan highlighted is St. Felix Centre, a non-profit community centre in Toronto. During Meghan's Suits days, she was doing then what she continues to do to this day: donating her time and energy. Even though it's been a couple of years since she worked with the centre, she hasn't forgotten them and it clearly still holds a place in her heart, so much so she wanted to share with the rest of the world just how much St. Felix helps vulnerable people in Toronto. And in return, the St. Felix Centre Instagram account posted a never-before-seen photo of the Duchess of Sussex along with other volunteers who donated their time in the kitchen.

Meghan Markle was an active supporter and volunteer of St. Felix Centre during her time living in the city while working on Suits. She volunteered on a regular basis in our kitchen as part of our Community Meals Program. The Duchess also donated food from the set of Suits, and on one Thanksgiving she brought in all the food, turkeys and the fixings for over 100 people. . Through our Twitter account we responded to the announcement: “Thank you! Many people here have fond memories of Duchess Meghan volunteering with us – though we remember her just as 'the lovely Meghan'. We're happy to see she continues supporting vulnerable people now as a member of the Royal Family. We'd love for her to visit us again one day.” . In case you're not sure which one is Meghan, she's the one in the baseball cap, striped shirt and jacket, though the arrow and heart pointing out the royal should also help. Seriously, though, Meghan appears to be almost shying away from the camera, purposely not making it about her but, rather, the place itself. It seems she would rather put her head down, help out and raise awareness and, like the Sussexes' monthly posts, put the attention solely on the organizations.According to St. Felix Centre, Meghan "was an active supporter and volunteer," and helped out "on a regular basis in our kitchen as part of our Community Meals Program."
