Is there anything more nerve-wracking than a job interview? We can think of maybe two things: a blind date and a video call from the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. One lucky young woman handled the latter with grace when Markle called her to wish her luck in her upcoming (you guessed it) job interview. Smart Works, one of the Duchess’ patronages, is an organization that supports underprivileged women in their efforts to enter the job market — and they’ve had great success in doing so. Over the course of the charity’s six-year existence, they’ve worked with more than 17,000 women. Smart Works not only provides interview advice and coaching, they also supply women with a much-needed professional outfit to wear to their job interviews. It might seem like a superficial thing, but the right look can supply a person with a boost in confidence in a moment when it’s most needed. Approximately 64% of their clients land a job with assistance from Smart Works. And while she is an advocate for the organization, that doesn’t mean that every interviewee gets a call from Meghan Markle ahead of the big day. This applicant seems to have gotten extra lucky. In an effort to promote the work they are doing (despite the fact that everything from their coaching programs to the interviews themselves have moved online) Smart Works shared a video of the Duchess chatting with one of their clients on social media yesterday.[video_embed id='1935400']RELATED: Prince Harry, Meghan Markle launching charity foundation Archewell[/video_embed]"I think you’re going to be fantastic," Markle tells her. "I just wanted to be able to call in and tell you best of luck, and my fingers are crossed for you." Somehow, the young woman she’s chatting with remains calm and confident, explaining how she hopes to put her education to use in the real world in a way that helps other people. Us? We’d be GUSHING about something completely unprofessional. Apparently that Smart Works training really does the trick. We’re betting she aces her interview. The charity added that since pivoting to virtual services, they've provided "200 hours of support to our clients."Meghan has been Smart Works's patron for over a year now, and made quite a splash last fall when she announced her intention to launch a capsule collection of workwear benefiting the charity—for every piece sold, one was donated to Smart Works.[video_embed id='1948037']Before you go: Lindsay Lohan gives Harry & Meghan advice on paparazzi[/video_embed]
