Megan Fox has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Brian Austin Green. Again. This is the second time that Fox has filed for divorce, but with the actor having moved on with new boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, it appears as though this time the split will stick.According to
The Blast, Fox filed to dissolve the pair’s ten-year marriage on November 24 in a Los Angeles county court.
The Blast reported that the paperwork they obtained does not specify whether custody or support will be an issue in the pair's divorce proceedings, but noted that Green filed his response the same day, which signals that the decision to divorce is amicable.Fox and Green met on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004 when Fox was 18 and Green was 30. The couple began an on-off relationship and eventually married in 2010. Fox previously filed for
divorce in 2015, but the pair reunited in 2016. Fox and Green share three young sons, so the hope is that the pair's split will be a painless as possible.Their separation appeared to begin on civil footing when Green announced on his
podcast in May that the pair had been separated for months. Green shared the news after Fox was spotted with her
Midnight In The Switchgrass co-star Machine Gun Kelly, leading to rumours that Fox had been unfaithful. Green clarified that the couple had already been living apart for months when Fox and MGK, real name Colson Baker, were spotted together, adding that his wife had been transparent with him about her decision to end their marriage.“I don’t want this guy Colson, who I have never met, who she said nothing but really kind things about, I don’t want him to be vilified because nobody did anything wrong. It’s not like we are separating or anything because somebody cheated or somebody hurt somebody,” said Green, who added that he has always trusted Fox’s judgement. “I feel like people are on paths in life sometimes and you’re on the same path, and you walk that path together, and things are working and then paths just kind of separate sometimes.Unfortunately, things between the pair have begun to dissolve publicly. On Halloween, Green posted a picture of himself in costume along with the couple’s youngest son, Journey. Fox
responded in the comments, questioning why her ex didn’t crop out their son for his privacy, accusing Green of using their children to paint the picture of her as an absentee mother. “You’re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year,” she wrote. “You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?”Fox received support from Green’s ex-fiancee Vanessa Marcil, with whom he shares 18-year-old son Kassius. “Like I said… the truth always comes out in the end…” Marcil
wrote alongside the hashtag #ImWithYouSister.Fox and MGK have been putting their relationship on display since going public in June. First appearing together in May in MGK’s music video for “
Bloody Valentine,” the couple have spoken openly about each other in interviews, including Fox describing her musician boyfriend as her ‘
twin flame.’ Fox also appeared in MGK’s music video for “
Drunk Face,” which is comprised of home footage. On Sunday, the couple made their red carpet debut at the American Music Awards. Fox later appeared on stage to introduce MGK for his performance with Travis Barker.
