If you noticed Chris Evans trending on Twitter this past weekend and wondered why, well as it turns out even Captain America leaves NSFW photos on his phone. And, because mistakes sometimes happen, Evans accidentally posted some of them on his Instagram Story when he meant to share a cute video of himself playing “Heads Up” instead. In the post (which Evans quickly deleted once he realized his mistake), the actor accidentally shared a screenshot of his gallery, which included a nude photo that showed his 6.1 million followers exactly what’s underneath that shield. There was also a meme of his face with the caption, “Guard. That. P---y,” and a random photo of Korean singer Younghoon holding up a pride flag on a stage. While fans immediately called upon others not to share the embarrassing snaps and to give Evans his privacy, some celebrities weighed in on the weekend action too. The actor’s brother, Scott Evans, joked about the incident in a Twitter post when he revealed he’d been offline and wondered what he’d missed. Evans’ fellow Avenger, Mark Ruffalo, also went online to share his support. He pointed out that there is actually nothing for Evans’ to be embarrassed about since a certain American president is still in office, and isn’t that just the silver lining everybody could use right about now? Meanwhile, Chrissy Teigen also went online to defend Evans, revealing that her WhatsApp automatically saves every photo to her roll, so there may be more boobs on her device than even she realizes. Dollface star Kat Dennings also decided to speak up about the mishap on social media, but she made sure to point out what many other fans were talking about in the comments too: the double standard when it comes to NSFW photos between men and women. Jennifer Lawrence certainly felt that when her phone was hacked in 2014, and private photos of her were released to a somewhat unforgiving public. So far Evans hasn’t addressed the photos himself, or responded to any of the comments. For now fans are showing their own support by flooding the feeds with photos of Evans and puppies to make the world wholesome again. They’re also reminding people that Evans has severe anxiety, so the best way to help him right now would be to block and report anyone else sharing the photos. Earlier this year Evans spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his mental health and how panic attacks almost made him quit acting. The 39-year-old also revealed that he turned down the role of Captain America several times because he wanted to respect his and his family’s privacy. Obviously, he eventually agreed to the gig thanks to some persistent people behind-the-scenes.“It was the best decision I’ve ever made, and I really owe that to [Marvel chief] Kevin Feige for being persistent and helping me avoid making a giant mistake,” he said in May. “To be honest, all the things that I was fearing never really came to fruition.”Here’s hoping it stays that way, NSFW photos and otherwise.[video_embed id='2021405']BEFORE YOU GO: Woman films creepy doll moving on its own[/video_embed]
