Mariah Carey announces 'it's time' for Christmas with festive video

The Christmas queen has announced that "it's time." Mariah Carey is here to let everyone know it's November and that means it's time to get into the holiday spirit.On Sunday, the "Always Be My Baby" singer shared a video on social media of a creepy creature opening a door filled with cobwebs and the words "NOT YET!" written in blood. Once the door is open a very familiar tune starts to play and of course, it's the beginning of "All I Want for Christmas Is You." What else would it be?Mariah is in the magical snow-filled room with a Christmas tree, wearing a festive onesie and announces "It's time!" before squealing with excitement. After Mariah jingles some bells and jumps up from the ground, she does concede that America should get through their Thanksgiving first before blasting her Christmas classics. Thank goodness Canadians already did that.

Last week Mariah warned a fan that it was too soon to be listening to her best-selling Christmas single. Naturally, one eager Lamb wanted to share the Christmas spirit before Halloween was even over. "It’s happening," Mike Nicolella captioned a photo of a Google Trend search showing a slow spike for the song ahead of December. "Not yet," the queen of Christmas responded.

The hit song (that gets stuck in your head for days after listening to it once) celebrated its 25th-anniversary last year and hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was originally released in 1994 but over the years, the song has been recreated by Fifth Harmony, Michael Bublé and the cast of Glee. Canada's very own Justin Bieber jumped on a remix of the song with Mariah in 2011 for his Under the Mistletoe album. It's safe to say that Mariah's video reminder gives us a smooth transition from Halloween to the Christmas season and shares some social distanced vibes that we're here for.
