Not every felt that Madonna’s response was welcome.Brutal murder travels around the world my son David Dances to honor and pay tribute to George and His Family and all Acts of Racism and Discrimination that happen on a daily basis in America. #davidbanda #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd #MichaelJackson pic.twitter.com/wLa6YKrYF1

Whew Chile. Thank goodness for dance. I thought racism and police brutality would never end..... and all we needed to do was cut rug.
Got damn innovation!— tihs eoh dedaeh blad (@baldheadazzElle) May 29, 2020
Maybe the worst tweet of all time. “ come dance in the kitchen for racism” is a weird take. To Michael Jackson? And other things.??

Others defended Madonna’s decision to share the video of her son, saying that her intent was to speak out against racism. This is trash, and deeply disrespectful.
If you want to actually do something to help combat racism and oppression, donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund to help pay the bail of protestors in Minneapolis.https://t.co/D0yDUAhtdK— Frederick Joseph (@FredTJoseph) May 29, 2020
#Madonna Twitter is such a vicious world. He's a kid. He wanted to do something expressive. Some of you are too young to know the lyrics to the Michael Jackson song. Listen to them. Whatever you think about his mom....he's a kid. Chill, Twitter.

The Material Girl posted the video on May 29 as protests over Floyd’s death continue to rip through Minneapolis, where businesses have been burned and looted, peaceful demonstrators have been sprayed with tear gas by local police and a CNN reporter was arrested live on-air while complying with state police. On May 30, one of the four police officers involved in the incident was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter.America is on the brink of a race riot and all y’all can think of is drag Madonna for posting a video of her 14-YEAR-OLD son dancing to a song about racial justice. What were y’all doing at that age to end police brutality?

This is the latest misstep Madonna has made on social media in the past few months. In March, the singer posted a video of herself in a bathtub filled with rose petals while she called COVID-19 the "great equalizer." “What’s terrible about it is what’s great about it. What’s terrible about it is it’s made us equal in many ways. And what’s wonderful about it is it’s made us equal in many ways,” she went on to say. This would feel more sincere and in touch if the setting were almost anywhere else.Madonna did donate 100,000 masks to inmates in jails and prisons across the U.S., so she does know how to open her heart and her cheque book at the same time, but perhaps she should reconsider her social media posts and the messages they could be sending when so many are suffering.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: etalk hosts react to Tyrone’s comments about racism during an appearance on ‘The Social’[/video_embed]BREAKING: Derek Chauvin, one of four former officers fired for involvement in George Floyd’s death, has been charged with murder and manslaughter, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announces. https://t.co/70BeNIjMHL pic.twitter.com/XVrvNFw2IA
