Looks like Lea Michele and hubby Zandy Reich have a baby on the way

It will be the first child for both.

Congratulations are in order for actress and singer Lea Michele. People has confirmed that the Glee star and her husband Zandy Reich are expecting their first child. Is it time to spontaneously break out into a cover of a pop song? A full Glee-style performance of  “…Baby One More Time” would work nicely in this instance.A source close to the couple confirmed the news and said that a baby has always been the plan for the 33-year-old TV star her 37-year-old business owner husband. “They’ve always wanted to be parents,” the source told People.Michele and Reich began dating during the summer of 2017 and Reich proposed the following April. Michele announced the engagement on her Instagram, posting a picture of herself wearing her four-carat ring and covering her face while on the beach.

Michele and Reich’s baby news arrives just a few weeks after the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary. The new parents-to-be were married in March 2019 in a star-studded ceremony  in Northern California that was officiated by Michele’s longtime friend and collaborator, Ryan Murphy. The Broadway actress got her big break in Hollywood when Murphy cast her as Type-A overachiever Rachel Berry in Glee.[video_embed id='5670157894001']RELATED: Lea Michele talks self-motivation and fitness[/video_embed]The pair worked together again following the end of the high school musical show when Murphy cast Michele as the lead in his 2015 TV series Scream Queens. At the 2017 Emmys, Michele joked that it was Murphy’s thumbs up that allowed her relationship with Reich to move forward. “When my boyfriend got the seal of approval from Ryan Murphy, that was it,” Michele told People. “Yeah my parents, yeah friends, whatever. But Ryan Murphy, it’s a done deal—it sealed the deal.”Michele’s wedding party included fellow actresses Jamie-Lynn Sigler, JoAnna Garcia Swisher and her Scream Queen co-star Emma Roberts. while her Glee and Spring Awakening co-star and BF Jonathan Groff was also in attendance and served as her Man of Honor. Michele wore a custom gown by wedding dress designer Monique Lhuillier, which she found with the help of friend and stylist Brad Goreski.

Since getting married last year, Michele has stayed busy working on new TV and music projects. In October, she released her first Christmas album. Titled Christmas In The City, the record was packed with holiday classics like “White Christmas,” “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “Silent Night.” The album featured duets with Groff and Glee co-star Darren Criss, as well as Tony-winner Cynthia Erivo.
