Publishing giant Harper Collins is suing Hollywood party girl Lindsay Lohan for a whopping $365,000 plus interest and legal fees for never delivering a manuscript as per her book deal. According to the publishing house, Lohan is in breach of contract for agreeing to write a book, and even being paid a hefty advance, and then never submitting her manuscript. In fact, Harper Collins claims she even refuses to give back the money they paid her. Ugh, this sound ugly.According to the suit, the Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club star and entrepreneuse signed a deal with Harper Collins way back in 2014 to write a book – there’s no word yet if she was supposed to write a memoir of her wild-child days in Hollywood, or her many brushes with the law, or even perhaps a work of fiction, but in any case, we would 100 per cent be down to read it.The suit alleges Lohan and her production company promised that she’d hand in her manuscript by May 2015, but when that deadline came and went with no book, HC generously extended her deadline to March 2017 and paid her a huge advance against future royalties to the tune of $365K.[video_embed id='2032098']RELATED: Anthony Rapp sues Kevin Spacey for sexual misconduct[/video_embed]HC says she ignored that deadline as well, so in September 2018 they told her the book deal was off and demanded the advance back, but the Mean Girls star never returned the money. Now HC is taking her to court. If you’re not surprised that LiLo will find herself in yet another courtroom, you also won’t be shocked to learn that this isn’t the first time the actress and one-time pop star has been labelled unreliable, unprofessional, and difficult to work with. For a time, she was even a chosen cause of Oprah Winfrey, who followed the troubled star in a documentary series in an effort to support her rehabilitation.Lilo hasn’t yet publicly commented on the suit, but it comes just one day after she took to her official Instagram to announce another business venture called #BeYourOwnBoss, this time in the United Arab Emirates, where she has been living for a few years.
