Liam Payne is reportedly engaged to girlfriend Maya Henry

Directioners may need to take a moment to collect themselves today as it appears another boy bander is off the market. According to The Daily Mail, British singer Liam Payne has proposed to his girlfriend Maya Henry. The pair reportedly met at a meet-and-greet for 1D fans, which might give fans some hope for becoming the future Mr. or Mrs. (insert supercute pop star name here).The Daily Mail is reporting that Payne proposed with a diamond ring worth £3 million, which works out to somewhere around $5.2 million Canadian. Henry was spotted wearing the ring from space. JK, she was spotted by paparazzi wearing the ring on August 28 while out to dinner with Payne at the upscale Novikov restaurant in London. That makes sense. No one is wearing a £3 million to not an upscale restaurant.The engagement comes after the pair were rumoured to have split up in February. The pair started dating two years ago when Henry was 18 and Payne was 24, although there was much speculation online at the beginning of the couple’s relationship about Henry’s age. Many Twitter users wrote that the American was actually only 17 when the couple got together, something Payne officially dispelled on social media.In September 2019, Payne went public with the pair’s relationship, telling Capital Breakfast host Roman Kemp that he and Henry were dating.“We're fairly happy at the moment. I'm just past the point of where I'm bothered or not,” said Payne when asked about avoiding the paparazzi. “It's not worth my happiness; I'd just rather go out and do what I want.
