Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are engaged and the ring is WOW

He put a ring on it, and judging by the size of that ring, it may have been hard to say no even if she wanted to. Kourtney Kardashian and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker are engaged, and they took to Instagram to celebrate the big news.

“Forever,” Kourtney captioned a photo of the romantic beachside spot in Montecito, Calif. where Barker put together an impressive arrangement of red roses and candles in order to pop the big question. According to TMZ, there was also a private photographer stationed nearby, hence the pictures on Kourt’s page.

The celebrations didn’t stop there, though. Friends and family shared photos and videos of the couple afterwards during a romantic dinner (in which dozens of red roses also featured), and Barker himself posted a photo of a rose-petal heart on a hotel bed. As if fans couldn’t already guess what all of that romance at the beach and dinner would lead to…

Kourtney’s sister Kim was also on-hand for the celebration. She posted a video of the happy couple kissing, before zooming in on the giant rock on her sister’s hand, which is definitely not the kind of rock you want to keep on while doing the dishes. (Or any other kind of practical chore for that matter.)

According to one diamond expert, the 15-plus carat ring looks to be valued at around $1 million. That’s not as expensive as, says Kim’s ring from Kanye West, which was estimated between $3 and $4 million. It is pricier than the reported $850,000 value of Khloe’s ring from her first husband, Lamar Odom, although her new ring from rumoured fiancé Tristan Thompson is estimated to be in the $2.5 million range.

Still, a million bucks isn’t pocket change and it didn’t take long for Kourtney and Travis’ friends, family and fans to share their well-wishes over the news. Since sharing the photos, Kourtney’s post has received more than 5.5 million likes, with everyone from Kim and Khloe, to Addison Rae and Winnie Harlow putting a little love in the comments.

Barker’s step-kids Landon, 17, and Alabama, 15, whom he shares from his previous 2004-08 marriage to Shanna Moakler, also shared their excitement over the news. "Congratulations @kourtneykardash and @travisbarker I'm so happy for you guys love you guys so much!" Landon wrote in an Instagram Story. "So happy for you guys I love u both!" Alabama added.

This will be the third marriage for Barker, who was also previously married to Melissa Kennedy from 2001-02. But it will be the first for Kourtney, who shares kids Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, with ex-partner Scott Disick. Despite the fact that Disick previously revealed he gave Kourtney a ring in 2017, a wedding never came of it.

Speaking of Scott, so far the Kardashian-adjacent personality hasn’t publicly commented on his ex’s big news, although he reportedly slid into Chicks in the Office’s DMs when he read about it.

For now, some fans are concerned for Scott, especially following his September split from Amelia Hamlin.

Kourtney and Barker have been friends for years now, but they took their relationship public this past February, just after Valentine’s Day, with an Instagram post in which the couple was holding hands. Since then, they’ve been spotted wearing matching outfits and haven’t been shy about the PDA either. In April, Barker even tattooed Kourt’s name on his chest.

No word on whether tattooed rings are in the future, but for now, we’re sending our own congratulations to the happy couple.
