Kardashian still hadn’t responded to the apology—at least not publicly—at time of press. She did address the situation last week on her Instagram Stories, however, after West followed up his rally with a series of now-deleted tweets saying his mother-in-law Kris Jenner isn’t allowed near his children, that Kim and her crew were trying to lock him up, and that he had been trying to divorce his wife for two years.“I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health,” she wrote, alluding to Kanye's Bipolar Disorder diagnosis. “But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health. Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behaviour know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.”[video_embed id='2000033']RELATED: Kim K breaks silence on Kanye's behavior [/video_embed]The posts appeared after Kardashian reportedly tried to help West by flying his pastor to the Wyoming ranch where he has been living in recent weeks. Meanwhile, West has been surrounded by other people in his inner circle, including his manager, Bu Thiam, childhood friends Don Crawley and John Monopoly, and celebrities like Dave Chappelle. Justin Bieber, who has spoken out at length about his own mental health journey, also flew in to join the 43-year-old over the weekend. West shared a photo of Bieber and music mogul Damon Dash hanging out at the ranch on July 24.I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter.I did not cover her like she has covered https://t.co/A2FwdMu0YU Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.

Other celebrities have been sticking up for West and supporting him online. “A lot of people you know probably have bipolar disorder and you aren’t aware of it,” Halsey wrote on July 20. “Taking this opportunity to make offensive remarks and vilify people with mental illnesses is really not the way to go...this is the exact triggering shit that causes people to keep quiet about it.”According to sources, Kardashian was enraged over West’s comments about their family at the rally and their sensitive nature. “Kim is shocked that Kanye spoke about North at the rally," a source told People at the time. "She is furious that he shared something so private." Another source told the publication that before the controversial statements, a “divorce had been in the process for several weeks.” The same person added that both sides had agreed the marriage was over, and they were trying to figure out the best co-parenting situation for their four children."But now Kanye has, well, he has gone down a different path. Both in terms of deciding to announce his presidential bid, and also in terms of how he is choosing to express himself and the things he is choosing to say," the source continued. "There have been multiple attempts to talk to him about the situation, but right now nothing is proving successful."[video_embed id='1998360']BEFORE YOU GO: Kanye West gets emotional during rally in South Carolina [/video_embed]DD & JB discussing the new spray foam wall prototypes on the YZY campus pic.twitter.com/NmR0ZGjm2I
