It seems like Justin Bieber took Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at his word when he urged Canadians abroad to come home while they still can, because he and his wife Hailey are now hunkering down and doing the social-distancing thing in Canada. Considering that officials are now closing the borders to non-essential travel, it seems like they did so in the nick of time, too.Sure, the couple could have very well stayed in Los Angeles, New York, or really wherever else they wanted, but according to
People they preferred to return to their Canadian home. There, they have a bit more freedom and privacy in terms of getting outside without being disturbed by adoring fans and potential paparazzi. So they did what any couple with money would do and they hopped on a private jet on March 16.“They plan on socially distancing themselves. In Canada, their home is very secluded and they are able to be out in nature still,”
the source told the publication. “They plan on staying in Canada until it’s safe for everyone to resume their regular lives.”Although it’s unclear how long that could be, one thing is for sure: the Biebers won’t be lacking for space. Back in 2018 the “Yummy”
singer bought a 9,000 square-foot home that backs onto Puslinch Lake near Cambridge, Ont. The custom-built home sounds pretty decked out too—it’s got a gym, theatre and games room, plus there are walking trails, ponds and a horse-training facility. And all for the cool price of $5 million. For now though, the couple seems happy working on their sweet, sweet dance moves, which they’re sharing with fans via Instagram and TikTok. What’s next,
more toddler yoga?
Bieber is just one of the many celebrities urging their fans to get behind social distancing for the next little while to try to flatten the curve of COVID-19.
Lady Gaga,
Taylor Swift,
Kylie Jenner and
Miley Cyrus are among those rallying their followers to do the safe thing while
celebs everywhere figure out the new normal.“Obviously this is a really scary time,” Bieber
shared on Instagram on March 17. “I wanted to remind everyone what we can do when we come together!! LETS COME TOGETHER BY ISOLATING OURSELVES UNTIL WE HAVE MORE ANSWERS! Our grandparents are counting on us.”And so the new normal continues…[video_embed id='1924127']RELATED: How to stop touching your face[/video_embed]
