Celebrities and their glam squads are generally a package deal. At times when the rest of us must rely on YouTube tutorials and a sale on contour kits, the A-listers we know and love have an entire team dedicated to their beauty needs — hair, makeup, nails, the whole shebang. But during times of social distancing? Even the stars have to give up their squads and rely on their own devices, at least according to Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s latest PSA.

The Veep and Seinfeld star participated in a PSA for the state of California this week, which urged viewers — in hilarious fashion — to stay home, and stay safe. In the video, Julia turns to the camera sporting some, ahem… very dramatic eye shadow and equally intense eyebrows, before continuing to apply red lipstick in a rather chaotic fashion. Kylie Jenner would be very concerned.

"You know, normally, when I do a PSA like this, I have a hair and makeup team— a glam team, a professional glam team— who come and help me with my look. But today, they're staying home," she explains. "They're staying safe. And that's what I would like you to do. Please stay home. Please stay safe, and help us flatten the curve. And if you do happen to go out, please maintain six feet of physical distance."

Amen, Julia. I mean, really, why get ‘red carpet ready’ without any red carpets to attend? Our pets and houseplants love us the same, with or without a perfectly applied smokey eye, after all.

The other great thing about Julia's PSA? While it delivers some much-needed laughs and is informative, as one fan pointed out on Twitter it also serves as a throwback to another classic JLD moment from her years as Elaine on Seinfeld.

This latest PSA arrives in good company, as celebrities around the world including Mike the Situation, Danny DeVito, Ryan Reynolds (and many more), have taken to social media to urge their fans to practice social distancing and help #FlattenTheCurve.

In the meantime, if you need us, we’ll be binge watching Seinfeld on Crave and working on that smokey eye...
