Joshua Jackson shares loving tribute to wife Jodie Turner-Smith on her birthday

Partners everywhere are going to have a hard time living up to expectations when it comes to wishing their spouses a happy birthday now that Joshua Jackson has shown everyone how it’s done. The Dawson’s Creek graduate and new dad took to Instagram recently to wish his wife Jodie Turner-Smith a happy birthday, and it was next-level sweet.“Happy Birthday my beautiful wife. Thank you for choosing to share your light with me,” he captioned a photo of Turner-Smith beachside in a bathing suit. “Thank you for walking this path of life as my wife. Thank you for bringing our daughter into the world. This last year has been the happiest whirlwind of my life. I can’t wait to see what all the years to come bring our way. Love, Josh.”

Looks like maybe Jackson has some of Pacey Witter’s romantic ways in him after all. But fans can’t blame the 42-year-old for sharing all of the love right about now—it has been a pretty good year for him so far. First he and Turner-Smith officially tied the knot in December 2019 and then in April they welcomed a baby girl to the world. It makes sense that he’s bursting with love and joy.Despite the fact that Jackson and Turner-Smith keep their personal life kind of private, this isn’t the first time the couple has been open with their affections for each other. At the end of June Turner-Smith also hopped online just to share a little love for her husband, writing, “big soulmate energy” next to a photo of Jackson in what looks to be the morning light. “#1 daddy. Just checking in to say that us girls are so lucky to have ya,” she continued.

Photogs first spotted Turner-Smith and Jackson holding hands in the fall of 2018, which is presumably around the time they began dating. A month before that, in October, they reportedly met at Usher’s birthday party, where according to an Us Weekly source “they were all over each other… super smitten and gazing into each other’s eyes.” It looks like some things haven’t changed in two years: they still look at each other like that.Jackson, who previously dated Diane Kruger for 10 years before they split up in the summer of 2016, also shared some big feels for Turner-Smith on Instagram this past Mother’s Day. “Dear Jodie. On this most special of mothers days I want to thank you for the being the light that you are,” he wrote.“I have never witnessed a more powerful being than you through those moments. Thank you for the depth of grace you have found since our daughter has arrived. The commitment that you make look so effortless but I know is anything but,” he continued. “Thank you for making me a father. For trusting me enough to embark on this journey together. I am humbled more and more every day by that. I love you. I love seeing you enter the pantheon of mothers.
