Hamm thanked Westfeldt in his speech, saying “I want to thank the people to whom I owe this incredible debt. Families who have chosen for some reason to take me in and be nice to me along this strange, strange road.” The actor ended his speech with a nod to his dog and his ex, thanking Cora and Jen. “Thank you all very much. I would not be standing here without you.”In 2017, Hamm spoke to InStyle about his new status as a single man, lamenting his transition out of a long term relationship. “It’s hard,” said Hamm. “It’s hard to be single after being together for a long time.
