Intimacy coordinators are becoming more and more necessary on movie and TV sets these days, and we can see why. Filming sex scenes can be messy, confusing, and if they’re not choreographed properly, performers can get hurt.

Now, Friends icon and The Morning Show star Jennifer Aniston is weighing in on their presence on her Golden Globe nominated show, and according to her, she can do without them! Especially when it comes to filming sex scenes with Mad Men legend and sexy man Jon Hamm.

Speaking with Variety, the Along Came Polly star revealed she was offered an intimacy coordinator for her steamy Hamm scenes, and the actress turned it down.

“Having [director Mimi Leder] there, you’re protected. I never felt uncomfortable,” she told the outlet.

“Jon was such a gentleman, always — I mean every move, every cut, ‘You OK?’ It was also very choreographed. That’s the beauty of Mimi and our gorgeous editor, the music and lighting. So, you don’t prepare.”

She continued, “They asked us if we wanted an intimacy coordinator. I’m from the olden days, so I was like, ‘What does that mean?’ They said, ‘Where someone asks you if you’re OK,’ and I’m like, ‘Please, this is awkward enough!’ We’re seasoned — we can figure this one out. And we had Mimi there.”

In the same interview, the Bruce Almighty star revealed that she was texting with the late, great Matthew Perry, who passed away in October, on the morning he passed.

"I was literally texting with him that morning, funny Matty,"she admitted."He was not in pain. He wasn't struggling."

"He was healthy," she added. "He had quit smoking. He was getting in shape. He was happy—that's all I know."
