Drake definitely knows how to live up to his IG moniker of “Champagne Papi” when it comes to throwing parties. The guestlist is lit, the tunes are hype, the drinks are flowing, and the fashion is en pointe. So when Drizzy decided to throw himself a costume party for his 35th birthday, he made sure the theme was something everyone could understand. Chico Amante; the Spanish translation of Lover Boy, and a nod to his latest album “Certified Lover Boy.” But Aubrey isn’t just any Chico Amante, he’s Narcos chico amante, complete with tables of cash and bricks of fake cocaine.

Drizzy showed up to the Narcos themed party held at Goya Studios in LA on Saturday the 23rd wearing a tan fringe jacket, a jean shirt buttoned up to the neck, and a white cowboy hat. And many of his guests, which included Offset, J.Cole, Luka Sabbat, French Montana, Future, YG, former Toronto Raptor Kawhi Leonard, Jack Harlow, Larsa Pippen, and Chris Brown, followed the country theme with their couture.

The “Hotline Bling” rapper also received a very special gift for his 35th from rapper Young Thug: an OVO gold chain, encrusted with diamonds, that has a portrait of Aubrey and his young son Adonis pictured on the other side.

In the above video, you can see the moment Drake was gifted the diamond-encrusted gold chain, and the moment he exclaims, “Oh s**t! That’s real love!” upon noticing the portrait on the back.

Drake’s son Adonis Mahbed, whom the rapper shares with adult actress Sophie Brusseaux, just celebrated his own birthday, ringing in the big 4 with his famous pops (Side note: ever notice that his middle name Mahbed sounds a lot like “my bed,” as in Drake’s famous “God’s Plan” lyrics, “She say do you love me/I tell her only partly/ I only love MY BED and my mama/ I’m sorry.” Just putting it out there!).

Another lavish thoughtful gift? A Rolls Royce from Future - the exact one Drake used to rent in 2007 to convince people he was "destined to make it." In Drake's own words: "Manifestation complete."

Tons of pictures were taken that night of the Toronto born and raised rapper hob-nobbing with his celebrity guests in their country-themed finest.

There’s even video of the certified lover boy being serenaded with “Happy Birthday” by the entire crew.

Aubrey  looks all smiles, and if these party pics are anything to go by, it was definitely the 35th birthday bash he was hoping for. It also comes on the heels of a very successful 2021 for the Toronto rapper, who won Artist of the Decade at the Billboard Music awards this year, and also dropped “Certified Lover Boy” to much fanfare,  despite ‘Ye’s (formerly known as Kanye West) attempts to doxx him.
