Hilary Duff is pregnant with baby number three

If you needed further proof that Lizzie McGuire is all grown up, Hilary Duff has just announced that she and her husband Matthew Koma are expecting their second child together—the third overall for their blended family. And they did so with the most adorable Instagram post.“We are growing!! Mostly me…” Duff captioned a brief video in which Koma is rubbing his wife’s baby bump and the pair are smiling into the camera. Koma shared the same video on his own page over the weekend, capturing a mood with his caption. “Lol quarantine was fun. Baby #3 – 2021,” he wrote.Well if that’s the case, it looks like quarantine was fun for a lot of celebrities. Duff joins a number of women who have announced they are expecting in the new year, including Mandy Moore, Kelly Rowland, Meghan Trainor, Katharine McPhee, Rose Leslie and Ashley Tisdale. Meanwhile this new babe will be the official baby brother to Duff and Koma’s first child together (daughter Banks Violet Blair), as well as the half-sibling to Luca Cruz Comrie, the eight-year-old boy Duff shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.This past weekend wasn’t just designated for baby announcements in the Duff-Koma household, however. The couple also celebrated Banks’ second birthday with some heartfelt posts on Instagram, sharing the love and familial bliss with fans everywhere. “Banksy Bair is 2! My love, my sweet sweet angel girl. Thank you!!!” wrote Duff. “Two amazing years with your smile and your bright eyes(swoon) It seems you yelled at me, your dad, and bro for most of this time although no one would believe that with all the happiness that pours from you when you smile! Now ...you are curious, at ease, confident and brave. I love you so so so many times and again. Thanks for choosing us! It's probably safe to say that 2021 is going to be a busy year for Duff. Not only is she scheduled to film the final season of her TV Land series Younger, but creator Darren Star (a.k.a. that guy behind shows like Sex and the City and Emily in Paris) is also plotting a potential Duff-starring spinoff series tentatively called Older. Then there’s the hopeful Lizzie McGuire reboot that may or may not happen after all of the behind-the-scenes challenges, but hey—fans can always hope.Duff and Koma married at the end of 2019 in a secret backyard ceremony that they later shared with fans via social media. In fact, they’ve been sharing all the love on social media ever since, haven’t they? “It’s this one’s birthday today and, as usual, I struggle to find words that celebrate all she is,” Koma wrote last month on Duff’s special day. “In a global pandemic, during our first year of marriage, in a world that’s becoming a heavier and more confusing place to navigate with kids in tow, there’s nobody who does it better.
