Harry and Meghan are back in the U.K. after Harry left Canada at the end of February to attend an event on eco-tourism in Scotland and have a sit-down with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Now Meghan has returned to her former home as well to make a handful of final appearances with her husband while the two are still working members of the royal family. Meghan and Harry made an appearance at Mansion House in London on Thursday night for the 2020 Endeavour Fund Awards, which provides assistance for ex-service personnel who are sick, injured or wounded and helps retired soldiers explore the field of sports. Military veteran Danny Holland was receiving the Recognizing Achievement Award when he surprised everyone in the crowd, including Harry and Meghan, by proposing to his girlfriend. The famous couple were almost upstaged by a heartfelt proposal, and had the sweetest reaction to the surprise gesture which sure seems like a brilliant way to ensure a wedding gift from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. And, no surprise, she said yes. In photos and videos taken from the award ceremony, Meghan and Harry can be seen smiling and clapping for the happy couple, who now have a one-of-a-kind engagement story. Thursday was the first time Meghan has been back in the U.K. since January when she and Harry left baby Archie in Canada to return to Buckingham Palace and make final arrangements for their exit from royal life. The couple reportedly kept baby Archie in Canada again for this trip, leaving him in their new home on Vancouver Island and away from the prying eyes of the London paparazzi.[video_embed id='1916066']RELATED: Harry and Meghan are back in London![/video_embed]Markle stunned in her appearance, supporting British designers by wearing a blue dress by Victoria Beckham and navy clutch by Stella McCartney, matching her husband’s navy suit. The photogenic couple appear to continue their habit of only taking good photos, as seen in the press clippings from Thursday’s event. Who looks that chic in the rain in real life? This is the stuff Taylor Swift sings about.Harry spoke on Thursday’s award ceremony, telling the crowd "The Endeavour Fund is not just about recovery, it’s about discovering a new way of living—finding a new sense of purpose and you have most definitely found that." The Duke of Sussex, who will continue to head the Invictus Games even after leaving royal life on March 31, continued, saying "Meghan and I are so happy to be back here with all of you and celebrate your achievements, your service, your resilience and that of your families too. You should all be tremendously proud of what you've achieved and the positive service you continue to provide to so many."Harry added, "A lot of you tonight have told me you have my back, well I'm also here to tell you, I've always got yours."

Tonight in London, for their third consecutive year, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the annual Endeavour Fund Awards, which celebrates the achievements of those veterans injured in service who have taken part in remarkable sporting and adventure challenges over the last year. By choosing to take on what seems impossible, these men and women not only set goals for themselves but have also inspired millions of people around the world. These annual awards bring together The Duke and The Duchess alongside wounded, injured and sick Service personnel and veterans as well as their families, friends and supporters of the military community. The Duke, who founded the @EndeavourFund, spoke on the night: • “The Endeavour Fund came from seeing the gaping hole that can be left after taking off that uniform. The power that sport and adventurous challenge plays in recovery, yes; but most of all - the chance to be part of a team again while attempting to achieve unthinkable challenges - as if being shot or blown up wasn’t enough, you guys continue to impress, inspire and challenge what it means to have a life changing injury.” • Since its launch in 2012, the Endeavour Fund has supported 108 projects that have directly assisted over 6,000 of those injured in service. Congratulations to all those who participated in endeavours over the last year and inspired others to push the boundaries of what’s possible! #EndeavorFundAwards
