Since their move to Los Angeles, and the subsequent lockdown of the entire world due to the pandemic, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have managed to keep themselves busy. Besides being in the midst of the search for a permanent California home, the couple has invested their time in community outreach programs like undercover grocery delivery and the launch of a new mental health initiative—not to mention marking the first birthday of Baby Archie. Understandingly, the couple has decided to celebrate their second wedding anniversary with a simple, quiet day together (no photos, please). An inside source for Town & Country told the publication, “They’ll be spending a quiet day as a family,” and added that Harry and Meghan aren’t likely to release any official photos related to their anniversary. Sadly, the traditional two-year gift is cotton and we're fairly sure a snap of the pair in matching lockdown sweatsuits would have broken the internet.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Newlyweds Harry and Meghan wave to thousands as they arrive at Windsor Castle[/video_embed]Of course, the ramifications of COVID-19 is putting a damper on absolutely everything, including what the Sussexes may have had pre-planned for this particular occasion (A party to rival James Gatsby’s? Dinner in Capri? Fancy cake?). Their “quiet day as a family” is probably as much about the pandemic as it is about their wish to live their lives in a more low-key manner since removing themselves from the royal realm.Last year, the Sussex Royal Instagram account shared a montage of photos from the couple’s 2018 nuptials to mark one year of marriage between Harry and Meghan. The post has been viewed 9.7 million times.

It’s almost shocking to think how much the Sussexes' lives have changed in the two years since two billion people tuned in to watch their royal wedding. There’s been a baby, a breakup with the British tabloids, a move to the U.S., and a big, public step away from the Royal family. They’ve earned a day off.Hold their (Zoom) calls.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Danielle and Lainey look back at the royal wedding[/video_embed]
