Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are done isolating at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch and they’re ready to settle in as a family in their new Los Angeles home—their new $13.2 million Los Angeles home, to be exact.
Us Weekly reports that after a bit of a wait, the pair have finally moved in, and they’re ready to make it a family home—just in time for the new school year. “They are very happy to be settled at last in their family home,” an insider tells the publication. “Gwen wanted to be moved in for the start of the school year, even though the kids are doing school at home because of COVID-19.”According to the mag, Stefani and Shelton first bought the home the fall of 2019, so there's been a bit of a delay in the move-in process (you know, a few world-altering things have happened since then). Now that they’re making it official, the source reveals that the place is “warm and inviting” with lots of room for Gwen’s three boys (Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo) to “tumble around and get dirty.”
So what else does the mansion feature? Well, according to the source there’s a “glam closet” for Gwen that “any woman would love to have,” but Shelton’s closet “isn’t so shabby either.” There’s also lots of room so the couple can have their own quiet time to be by themselves and create. “They are truly happy as a family and it’s the new beginning Gwen needed,” the source says.
According to Dirt, the 13,000-square-foot home is in a cush area of Encino in the San Fernando Valley. It was built on spec and was never offered for public sale; Stefani and Shelton bought it privately in order to avoid publicity. However, photos obtained by the publication from developer Gaskin Design & Development reveal a white house with black trim and windows; a four-car garage; a swimming pool with a cabana, wet bar and separate outdoor kitchen; and an inset spa. Inside the house, there are three floors, a home theatre, a gourmet kitchen and high-end appliances. And it all sits on 1.6 acres of private land with extra retaining walls for even more privacy. It all sounds super lavish to be sure, but the new home may actually be a bit of a downsize situation for Stefani. Her last California mansion, which she owned with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, was listed for $35 million in 2017.
It later sold for a lot less than that, at $21.65 million.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Kristen Bell shares her kids’ sweet ‘sobriety birthday’ message for Dax Shepard [/video_embed]This marks the first home that Gwen and Blake, who have been dating since the end of 2015, have purchased together.
