Meryl Streep and her husband, artist Don Gummer, have one of those rare Hollywood marriages that have lasted longer than an organic carton of milk. The couple have been together for over four decades and they have four children together, one of whom embarked on her own matrimonial journey just last summer. Actor Grace Gummer wed musician Tay Strathairn in July of 2019 (when you could still have a wedding). But according to newly released court documents, the couple won’t be stepping up their husband and wife game to challenge Streep and Gummer’s marriage record of 42 years. Grace and Tay called the whole thing off only 42
days into their not-so-wedded-bliss.
Us Weekly went digging into LA County legal documents to discover that Gummer (most recently of
Mr. Robot and
American Horror Story fame) separated from Strathairn in late August, 2019. Sadly, they never even made it to their two-month anniversary (which may be for the best because who knows what the traditional gift is for that occasion — polyester blends? Pipe cleaners?).[video_embed id='1714636']RELATED: These are the best Meryl Streep movies[/video_embed]Gummer and Strathairn, a keyboardist who contributed a song to the Meryl Streep film
