Gigi Hadid may be taking her time in revealing more about her pregnancy to her fans, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t documenting the experience on her own time. The model took to Instagram Live for a chat about her collaboration with V Magazine recently, and of course the conversation turned towards her pregnancy when she started taking questions from fans.“I am so grateful for the positive comments and the questions and wanting just to know that we're all good and safe, and everything's going great and I love you guys. I do appreciate those positive comments,” the supermodel said, according to People. “Obviously, I think a lot of people are confused why I'm not sharing more, but like, I'm pregnant through a pandemic. Like, obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world."The 25-year-old added that because of coronavirus and Black Lives Matter she feels more comfortable keeping her pregnancy journey to a small group of family and friends. “Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus — that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening,” she said. “And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.”Still, Hadid knows when to give the people what they want, and so she did give a little preview of her expanding belly to those who have been saying that she doesn’t even look like she’s expecting. “Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, you didn’t look pregnant in your jumpsuit on your last Live.’ That’s because this way [facing front] I’m gonna look normally how I look in this [outfit],” she said. “The reason I said it’s a different story is, like, there’s my belly, y’all. Like, it’s there. From the front, it’s different, you know what I mean?” Hadid confirmed her pregnancy with former One Direction member Zayn Malik last April. The pair have been dating on and off since 2015, and are expecting a baby girl, according to Us Weekly. In the Instagram chat, Hadid added that eventually she will share more with fans, but she also doesn’t want the pressure of having to keep up with social media appearances once those floodgates are open. "I have been taking a lot of pictures of my bump and sending it to friends and family and it's been really cute and exciting, and I'm trying to document it well because I've heard a lot of people say obviously, 'make sure you don't miss it,'" she added.“And I will be sharing stuff like that in the future,” Hadid revealed. “I write in my journal a lot, and I just don't want to worry about waking up every day during my pregnancy and, like, worry about having to like look cute or post something.”[video_embed id='-1']Before you go: This baby's contagious laughter is really unique and adorable[/video_embed]
