Everything we know so far about Sophie Turner’s rumoured new boo Peregrine Pearson
On September 6, rocker Joe Jonas and actress Sophie Turner, who have been married for four years, released a joint statement on Instagram, speaking out for the first time since rumours of marital trouble first surfaced and the possibility of divorce. The statement confirmed the divorce, but asked people to tone down the chatter.
"Statement from the two of us: 'After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."
Their divorce proceedings have since commenced and appear rather acrimonious, with a battle over custody and where to raise the children ensuing, and also accusations of impropriety leveled at Sophie that many have called a sexist attack by Joe to paint her as an unfit mother.
Nevertheless, life goes on, and it would seem Sophie has moved on quickly. The UK Sun has reported that the “Game of Thrones” actress was spotted in Paris locking lips with aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, who has a royal connection.
The outlet reports that Peregrine - or Perry to his friends - is the heir of the 4th Viscount Cowdray, and recently broke up with King Charles’s goddaughter, model Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark, after years of dating.
The photograph of the kiss was provided by an amateur onlooker who told the outlet the pair were spotted at Paris’s Gare du Nord station and, “They arrived together at the chauffeur pick-up location outside of the station. It looked like they might have both come on the Eurostar from London.”
“They stood there for a few minutes and were chatting and laughing a lot,” they continued.
“He then took his hat off and leaned in to give her a big kiss. After the kiss they parted ways.”
The outlet reports that they reunited later that evening at the Stade de France, where Sophie made a surprise appearance during the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
While details of their rumoured romance are scarce, we do know that Peregrine’s pocketbook is not. The outlet reports his aristocratic family are worth £224 million, or $377 million CAD. He has his own bachelor pad in the Chelsea neighbourhood of London which is reportedly worth £5 million, or just over $8 million CAD.
While neither party has commented on the burgeoning romance, we do know that Sophie and ex Joe Jonas have tentatively settled their tense custody agreement for daughters Willa and Delphine, with the children splitting their time between the US and UK. Their divorce however is still pending and has not been finalized as of press time.
