Another royal wedding is only a few months away and sources close to the monarchy are now spilling the details on the affair. Princess Beatrice is next royal to walk down the aisle, and the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson will reportedly say ‘I do’ this spring.According to People, a source close to Princess Beatrice has revealed that the 31-year-old will marry her 36-year-old fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in May. Buckingham Palace has yet to formally announce the wedding date but are expected to do so in the coming days. The wedding will take place near the end of May following Queen Elizabeth’s traditional garden parties, which typically take place in the middle of the month. According to the source, Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, will be in attendance at their grandmother’s parties.
The source also reveals that Princess Beatrice will not be having an elaborate wedding like that of her sister Eugenie, or Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. Instead, Beatrice and Edoardo are planning on a more low-key affair. Keep in mind, the wedding reception will likely take place at Buckingham Palace (like Kate and Prince William’s 2011 wedding reception) and the ceremony is suspected to happen near the palace, with the source speculating it could be at the Royal Military Chapel. A low-key royal wedding is still a royal wedding.Beatrice and Edoardo celebrated their engagement with a party in December at the trendy Chiltern Firehouse in London. The celebrity-filled guest list included Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa and brother James, popstars Ellie Goulding, James Blunt and Robbie Williams, British Vogue editor Edward Enniful, and actor Robert DeNiro. Yeah, that one. The only one.The engagement party took place after rumours began swirling that the couple would cancel the event in light of the scandal surrounding Beatrice’s father, Prince Andrew. The prince’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and his disastrous interview with the BBC about his friendship with the sexual predator and his knowledge of Epstein's involvement in a sex trafficking ring has cast a dark shadow over the royal family and Beatrice’s wedding. In November, the Palace released a statement announcing that Prince Andrew would be stepping away from his royal duties, a move was basically unheard of for modern royals. Well, unheard of at that time. Plus, there’s a difference between being forced to step away and choosing to leave.[video_embed id='1880941']Related: Prince Harry has landed in Canada to join Meghan and Archie[/video_embed]The source told People  that even with the controversy surrounding Prince Andrew, he will still likely be very involved in his daughter’s wedding and is expected to walk her down the aisle.Beatrice and Edoardo announced their engagement on September 26. The couple got engaged in Italy after a year of dating, but the pair’s families have been friends for years. A property tycoon worth millions, Edoardo has a son from a previous relationship with American architect Dara Huang.Following Buckingham Palace’s engagement announcement in September, Edoardo shared his own gallery of engagement photos of the couple, writing “You will never be alone my love, my heart is your home. Hand in hand, today, tomorrow and forever.”
