A Tony award is nice but finding your new partner through a life-changing role on Broadway is also pretty great. Ben Platt, it seems, gets both. The stage and film actor is officially dating fellow Broadway actor Noah Galvin and the pair share more than just a love of stage. They've both played the title role in the award-winning Broadway Show Dear Evan Hansen.Galvin announced the pair’s new relationship this week while appearing on the Little Known Facts with Ilana Levine podcast. “Ben and I are dating,” said Galvin during the interview. “I asked him this morning, I was like, are we allowed to talk about this? And he’s like, ‘Don’t go into our nitty gritty, but yeah, people can know.’ It’s still relatively new.”

But WAIT there's more romance to be had! Platt originated the Evan Hansen role in the then-new Broadway show, starring from 2015 until 2017. Galvin stepped into the role after Platt exited in August 2017, appearing from November 2017 until February 2018. Following Galvin's exit, Evan Hansen has been played by a handful of other actors, most notably Taylor Trensch and Ben Levi Ross, who are also dating now. This show is magic!“I know, it’s so goddamn incestuous," added Galvin while speaking to Levine about his new relationship in connection with the other Evan Hansen couple. "But it makes sense, like, we all went through the war together. We all feel very connected.”[video_embed id='1953464']RELATED: Spider-Man and Ethan Hawke are bringing film fests to your home [/video_embed]The pair have been isolating together along with fellow Broadway actor Kathryn Gallagher, whose father is TV actor Peter Gallagher (most recently seen on Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist). Yes, she also has great eyebrows. In March, the trio appeared together in a "Quarantunes" virtual dance party fundraiser to support food banks in New York City and offer fans a way to dance out their anxieties surrounding the global pandemic. It would also appear Galvin and Platt have made it to the "matching Halloween costumes" phase of dating, doing a group Wizard of Oz costume along with mutual friend, actress Beanie Feldstein last year. Galvin starred opposite Feldstein in 2019’s breakout comedy Booksmart and Feldstein and Platt have been friends for almost two decades, meeting at a mutual friend’s Bat Mitzvah in the early 2000s.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Watch these two essential superhero workers brighten up this community[/video_embed]
